🙋🏽People ask us different questions about our humanitarian activities in Ukraine. In this post, I would like to answer some of them.
❓How much of the donated money goes to Ukraine?
The simple answer is 100%. Everyone who supports us abroad is a volunteer so there are no administrative costs. There are no salaries or any other similar expenses. Even in Ukraine majority of people who work for the ISHR’s humanitarian effort are not professional civil society activists but lawyers who left the legal field took off their business suits and became volunteers. Our main task is to bring help to those who need it the most.
❓How does ISHR deliver humanitarian aid?
Since the majority of people help our efforts by donating money and not the necessary items (i.e. food, clothing, medicine), we had to consider this factor while planning our work. Usually, when we receive a request for help we look for requested items in the closest areas, once it is found we purchase them and ship them to the person. In today’s situation logistics become one of the main problems that we are solving every day. We have to constantly look for different goods in different parts of the country, and figure out how to bring them from point A to point B.
🙏🚛We are also working on collecting and transporting humanitarian aid from abroad. I hope l will be able to show you the results of this work shortly. Right now I’ll just say that we have 126 boxes of diapers, baby food, and baby clothes loaded on a track in Italy.
